The quality of the work we put into our workouts decides our outcomes. Just like cooking, great quality ingredients make the best food. Going through the motions instead of really engaging your core, for example, may make it seem easier to crack out your push ups, but the outcome will not be better  looking arms or a feeling of real achievement.  In fact the outcome will eventually be an injury. When give our best effort both on a technical and mental level we achieve a quality outcome.

“I work out all the time and I still look the same”. If you don’t push yourself to achieve something more than you will keep getting the same result. The way that you did your workout a year ago, if you have been consistent, should be drastically different than the way you workout now. Especially if you expect drastically different results.

Before every workout set your intention to give your very best effort. When you feel tired, go back to that intention. Keep revisiting it and soon it will be your new baseline and you will be asking yourself for more naturally!
