You will want to keep re-setting and refining your goals. Use this guide to help you through. There are a lot of SMART goal setting ideas out there, but here’s an example of my SMARTER version.

Specific: I want to lose and inch of my waist circumference by Thanksgiving day.

Measurable: I will measure my waist.

Agreed: I am going to share my goal with my friends and family and ask them to agree to support me.

Recorded: I will use my fitness pal to record my food, hydration and fitness.

Time Bound: My goal day is Thanksgiving day.

Evaluated: I will review my plan as I go and measure my waist once a week to track progress.

Rewarded: I will treat myself to a spa day for my hard work!
