Reflection is a very important part of life. It allows us to see through the chaos and to make changes that we need to make to have the life we really want. Develop a habit this week. Ask yourself as you lay to rest, if the events of your day were truly spent well. Be honest with yourself, and if you feel like there was some time wasted instead of spent, decide what might serve you better the next day, and try it. For example, televison can be a real time sucker, and a life sucker too. Its one of those things that really perpetuates. The minute you turn it on turns in an hour! Instead of TV, try picking up a book, meditating, taking a walk or playing a board game with a family member. Then, ask yourself as you lay to rest if it served you better to kick the TV for a night. Now this doesn’t mean you can’t ever watch TV or indulge in something, but interjecting something new like reading, meditating, playing or walking will give you a fresh perspective instead of a view cluttered with other peoples ideas of what you need.
