Should you come to class tomorrow be very focused on your technique! The workout is heavy in repetitions of basics, so make sure your basics are on point. Today, lets talk push ups!

1) Start with a firm core and a strong plank. Take time on EVERY push up to accomplish this. How you start any movement will dictate the quality of the finish:

2) Spread your fingers out to take the stress off the wrists and into the whole hand:

3) On the descent, keep the neck neutral and avoid a hanging head, (the issue I correct most in class) which stresses the muscles that stabilize the shoulder blades and support the neck!

4) Maintain plank to the ground and back up. If this is not yet possible, start on your knees and work up from there:

Remember that each move is an opportunity to create a better habit, or not! Spend your time wisely and treat your body well!
