None of us know what tomorrow brings. It’s easy to put things off and assume the future will always be there, until it isn’t. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to wait until a fictional future to become who I REALLY know I am. I don’t want to make any more excuses, and I will not have ANY regrets about it!
Life is exactly what we make of it. Our mind and our spirit are super powerful forces that dictate what we do with the rest of us. To sum it up, we are the captain and crew of this ship we call a body. If something is weighing the ship down, it’s time to throw it over board.
To be excited for a moment, to set lofty goals and watch those feelings and ideas disintegrate with the stress of each passing day is commonplace. It is, on the other hand, the rare few who figure out how to stay committed and excited (enough) to make it last days, weeks, let alone months and years.Those that figure it out live a more fulfilling and thoughtful existence.
So, eat a doughnut, have some wine, sleep in, skip a workout. The balance is in finding a way to make these temporary pleasures temporary, so that they don’t become a weight you carry.
