In any situation in life, letting go can be one of the hardest things to do. Whether it’s something very deep and personal or just the fact that somebody was rude and aggravated you on the freeway, letting go is a skill we all need to work on.
When stress hits, something as simple as breathing 4 counts in and 6 counts out can make all the difference. (it actually decreases heart rate!) Realize how fortunate you are in spite of the current situation. This too shall pass. Give yourself the love, the breath and the consideration that you deserve. Be gentle with yourself. Let your thoughts be kind. Yes. Hold on to things that matter, but if it doesn’t really REALLY matter, then just let go. Much love, Coach M
