On Tuesdays at Gumsaba we focus on keeping our heart rate up the entire hour. That can be SCARY, but no matter what don’t stop. If you need to slow down that is fine, but stopping is not going to move you forward and attain your goals, right? We will take short breaks, but that won’t be enough to lower your heart rate much. PLEASE WEAR A WATCH because we will be taking your heart rate on the rest sops.

So, what do you do when your heart beats really hard? You listen to it, you appreciate its hard work, and you keep your wits about you. Always stay focused on the positive. Some people don’t have hearts that work well, YOURS DOES! Love that heart by giving it what it needs, a good hard pumping, a deep tissue massage if you will. Remember, its only an hour, and you asked for it! Keep in mind that your breath control is essential on cardio days and getting a full exchange of oxygen is the key to keeping your head in the game and your body functioning properly. Above all enjoy it. Treat each day, each workout, as though its your last and you just can’t lose.
