As a small child I found it shocking that people had opinions about others based on the color of their skin, their gender or their disability. I distinctly remember a few circumstances in which I was completely astounded by ignorant racist comments. I also remember feeling like I was just as powerful as any man, yes, even as a small child. (Some things never change). čÖé

We all have choices. We can sit back and let life happen, or we can go after what we know is right, stand up to fear, no matter how scared we are, and tear it down. Its incredibly inspiring to reflect on the works of powerful leaders; the movers and shakers that shaped our history the right way. These special individuals see the bigger picture,  have the guts to express their view even when others disagree. Take a look at some of these photos. Look deeply into the faces. Who really looks afraid? Who is the coward?

Well, I HAVE A DREAM and I AM NOT AFRAID. ┬áSomeday ALL people will look back into history in disbelief of ALL prejudice, like I did as a child. They won’t be able to fathom how anyone could judge another on traits they were born with like skin color, race, gender or species. Someday ALL earthlings, all animals will have rights. Someday WE SHALL OVERCOME. Sorry for the graphic photos, but the truth is much more important than our opinion about it. I have hope that knowledge helps us all make better, more conscious choices in our lives even if that knowledge is hard to fathom.
