Let your mind rest lightly on your thoughts like a butterfly rests on a leaf. Don’t be over committed to certain thoughts, especially stressful ones! Be light. Give yourself the space and time you need. If you are always in a hurry, try getting up 10 minutes earlier or setting yourself a calendar with open space to free your mind. If you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders from a deadline at work or some other stressor, be light about it. Realize that you are not going to do any better by stressing about outcomes. Do the work you can do, do your best, and that is all you can do. Regardless of our circumstances, we are still the ones who choose how we feel and think about them. Be light with thoughts and you will find that your mind will become less cluttered and stressed.
