One of the hardest things you can do to your body and your mind is yo yo diet and exercise. Consistency is what the body craves, we are creatures of habit, so don’t make your habit being inconsistent. If you have taken a break from exercise, enter back in with care and really stay focused on your movement. Movement patterns decrease at twice the rate we build them, so for every week you take off, you digress two in muscle memory, endurance and capability.
If you have binged on food that is not fuel, then you may need to detox that junk out of your body. Your body gets just as easily addicted to good food as it does junk, but you need to be consistent. Eliminating processed sugar can be tough; upping your fruit intake with a power packed smoothie in the morning can really help your afternoon cravings. Choosing better options for white sugar can help your glucose levels stay consistent – coconut sugar and date syrup are better options if you need them.
