Since I was just a little kid I have always loved Broccoli. Some kids would sneak broccoli to the family dog under the dinner table. I would dress up like the family dog and wait for broccoli under the kitchen table.

My love only continued to blossom as I got older. Through the years whenever I needed it, broccoli was  there for me. It never melted like ice cream. It never got stuck in my gums like popcorn. It never cracked my teeth like gumballs. Sure it got stinky as the days passed by, but don’t we all. And it’s imperfections only made it more approachable, more down to earth.

Alright, so that may not all be true. But, I still have always been very fond of this little green plant in the cabbage family and here’s why…
