Mantras are trick I use to change a negative thought to a positive one whenever I am going into a challenging situation. From Spartan Races to speeches, to teaching a new class, they have helped me remain cool, calm and confident in spite of the stress I may feel. When things get tough, a single thought in the right direction can be all you need to steer yourself back on track.
Last weeks bonus for the Gumsaba and Cyto Challenges was to create a mantra to carry with you you through a workout, (or get you to a workout you don’t want to go to!). Really though, it wasn’t about the workout. It was about giving yourself a chance to empower yourself with thought, to make thought in to action! It was about making space between you and any negative thought so you might find a better way to deal with all that life presents.
These are some of the mantras that people came up with for the challenge. Inspiring, funny, courageous, they all speak to a higher self, to the high road within!
