There is a powerful energy field within all living beings known as life force, or spirit. Though it is our most valuable asset, many of us don’t work on it at all!  Just as our physical body gets conditioned from exercise, our spirit notably blooms with inward practice. The opposite is also true; just as the body is crippled by gluttony and laziness, the spirit will fade if it is not cultivated.

This month shift the focus to the life force within you. At Boot camp we exercise physical and mental strength while the spirit is worked on a more subconscious level. Just as you take time to exercise, take some quiet time each day to exercise your spirit, to bring it into consciousness. Reflect on and be grateful for the wonderful contributions you are making to the world that we all benefit from. Listen to your breath. Honor and appreciate it with depth and attention because without it your life force would be extinct. Treat yourself as kindly as you treat the person you love the most, then realize the power of that love. Let it bleed over to all forms of life regardless of the physical shape. Cultivate compassion in the garden of your spirit and it will grow without limits or effort.
When we open our hearts and minds through introspection, we see that there there is no me and you, there is only us. We see that all we do affects each other;  we are all part of the same symphony. The soft and the hard, the ebb and the flow, the high and the low, they all have equal value. When we realize how we all play a crucial role in this life we are both humbled and empowered. Our perspective shifts and this deeper understanding blooms into inherent wisdom. We  become infinite because we realize our spirit has no boundary.
No one person is more important than any other person; none of us are special because all of us are special. Cherish the gift of your life force, and be unselfish with giving of it. GO GUMSABA!
