So much focus today is on our outside persona, on our looks and what we own. I wonder what the world would be like if we cared that much about our soul. What would happen if we all really got to know the person we were inside? Im not saying go be a monk (unless that’s your calling/more power to you). What I am saying is that every time we think something negative about ourselves or others we damage our soul. Let’s flip this coin and do some spiritual cleansing…

Our lives are the result of the choices we make every moment. One choice, one thought made right now could change your life for better (or worse). Of course there are moments when ugly thoughts will arise. When we choose to fan that ugly thought we help it’s flame grow and cause more damage. Yes it may feel good to vent, but in the long term its not helping anyone. Be thankful for the lesson you learned and move on.

Life is too short to get stuck on the negative. Every time we choose positively we feed our soul the good stuff. It is up to us to create our own beautiful minds filled with love, compassion, and respect. I’d like to challenge everyone to write down one positive moment each day for the next month. I will do it here on the blog, feel free to post yours on the gumsaba FB page or here in the comments.

My positive thought: Thank you all for your most excellent effort at class today and every day. I could not ask to work with a more amazing and committed group of people. I am eternally grateful for your effort, energy and enthusiasm. It is an honor to know each and every one of you.
