The fact is that Thanksgiving is a celebration of THANKS. Somehow its been confused with a celebration of abusing our bodies and overstuffing ourselves with crap. For example, people think Turkey meat is healthy, but there are a few reasons I disagree. One, what drugs were pumped into that bird? When we step back and look at the components of the holiday we see that we have been duped into thinking we have to have this gigantic meal to beat all other meals; really everyone expects that. At our house, we celebrate the lives we have built, the family we have and the all around wonderfulness that is life, with a plant based meal.
