Hello Campers,
The air quality has been really bad this past week for obvious reasons. It should concern you to be breathing heavily outside. Here are some tips to help you stay healthy…
- Consider wearing a particulate mask at class. This is the one I have purchased. Look for one with a particulate respirator, labeled NIOSH-approved, marked N95 or N100 or P100. source
- Check the daily air quality index HERE.
- Make sure to shower after class. If that isn’t possible, wash your face and hands and change clothes. Particles can hang out on your clothing and you don’t want to breathe them in.
- Air quality is usually better in the early morning, so consider attending one of the 530am or 6am classes. See our schedule HERE.
Hopefully these fires will be contained soon. This tragic turn of events could happen anywhere. Our brothers and sisters in the North Bay are going to need all the support they can get in the coming months. I am planning to do some volunteer work once things settle. Let me know if you want to get involved. We are all in this together; the more we can do to help our fellow earthlings, the better off we will all be.
Hugs,
Coach M
