If you haven’t heard the buzz already, “nice” cream is the new ice cream!  Nice cream is out of this world, sent from the heavens good.  Made with only four ingredients and a trusty high-powered blender, nice cream contains sugar only from fruit, no dairy, and zero to no fat.  It is the kind of thing I could eat everyday, especially in the summer.  Nice cream is the perfect afternoon snack or post dinner treat. It’s the kind of “indulgence” that’s free of the bad, processed stuff and is filled with phytonutrients, dietary fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals.



Yields ~2 generous servings

Nice Cream Ingredients:

  • 2 frozen bananas (peeled and broken into 1 in. pieces)
  • 4 frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 -1/3 cup nondairy milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Nice cream toppings:

  • crushed almonds
  • crushed peanuts
  • chia seeds
  • fresh berries
  • cacao nibs


  • In a high-powered blender, combine frozen banana pieces, frozen strawberries, nondairy milk (start with 1/4 cup), and vanilla extract.  Blend for 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.  Add more nondairy milk, to reach desired ice cream-like consistency.
  • Divide nice cream equally into two serving bowls, sprinkle with toppings, and enjoy asap (this stuff melts quickly) or pour into a freezer-safe glass dish, store in freezer and enjoy later.
