Today marks the astronomical phenomenon known as winter solstice. It represents the shortest day and longest night of the year. Throughout history the Winter Solstice has been a sign of rebirth, and represents the great connection and reliance we all have to the planet and our universe.
My very amazing friend, Holistic Health Practitioner Sara Courter wrote this insightful and inspiring piece on her FB Page:
“It’s the eve of Winter Solstice and also the last new moon of 2014. Tonight is the longest night of the year…a time for dreaming, manifesting, spell casting and love brewing. Tomorrow we begin our return to the light. A rebirth. Tomorrow we also begin a new lunar cycle. Double rebirth. There’s SO much potency in the air for renewal and creation, babes. Harness it. Go inward, connect to your intentions, see this long dark as the essential yin to balance the blindingly vibrant brightness of your yang; your inherent Light. You are powerful and everything you have ever done, ever been, has led you to THIS moment. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. There’s so much to be grateful for, there are so many seeds to plant.
