Our bodies are meant to move, but sometimes they just really don’t agree with what we are doing! Whether its a of daily habit, an old injury cropping up, something acutely new or a combination of lifestyle factors, its important to focus on what can do rather that what might be trying to hold us back.

When you come to class, or hit any workout for that matter, use the warm up to asses where your body is today. Our bodies are in a constant state of evolution. Understand that what is possible tomorrow may simply not be possible today. Pushing through pain will often set you back. On the flip side of the coin, when your body feels good, it’s also important to move it with mind engaged, especially when it comes to high reps, and hard workouts like we do!

Whether your body is sending you signals to go harder today or back off, please listen. A mindful today leads to a better tomorrow.

Remember, those things which we can not do are not what stops us from doing what we want. Our mind does that. We must practice doing what we can, despite that which we can not, so that we grow in the direction that is best for our minds, bodies and spirits.
