Its been a tough month of March at Gumsaba Outdoor Boot Camp! Today is the last Friday of the month, and so we had us a fun Friday as always! We spent some time stretching with resistance bands at the end of class; which is very important for recovery. As we age, our body becomes less flexible, and therefore we are more prone to serious injury.

Keeping your body hydrated and flexible is a big part of your fitness longevity. Check out some of the major benefits of flexibility here, and remember, deep stretching should always be done when your body is hot. Waking up in the morning and trying a deep back stretch, for example,  can put you at risk for injury. You can find some great back stretches and exercises here, but remember to warm up before any stretching routine!
