Counting calories can work for weight loss; yes,  if you limit calories, you will lose weight for a time. But what about the long term goal of being healthy for life? You can’t maintain a limited calorie intake forever, right? Usually this leads to overeating and indulgence at some point, and is a frustrating struggle. Its very easy to get caught up in the weight game. Some of us battle it for life. Changing the way we think about our weight, and our bodies, changing what we think about how we are perceived by others as well, these are the keys to successful health. None of us is meant to be a certain size or weight. We are all meant to take care of the body we were given as best we can, so it keeps us active and healthy. Eating whole foods, that have not been modified or pumped up with antibiotics or hormones is more important for your overall health than counting calories. The scariest thing about many of these FDA approved foods is that the effects on humans have NOT EVEN BEEN TESTED! So wrong on so many levels.
